A Star Is Born

Creating a Star

It was two years ago today at 6:55 pm.

A star’s light went out here on earth. My wife and soulmate Elizabeth “Liz” to all who knew and loved her, left us, but only for a short while.

You see, Liz believed in God. She believed God sent his son to die so that all that believed would have a life everlasting.

On our 30th. Wedding anniversary, I bought Liz a star. It is on the International Star Registry and the star will remain named “Mary Elizabeth Stanley”. We found the star in the sky using the map and gazed upon it together. I can still look up and see it myself.

Her little star is one among billions of stars, just as we are all one among billions of people, but I know that among the billions of people that are born, live on earth, and then die that I will find her again someday in Heaven. What a joyous day that will be.

So, although I miss her very much on this day marking two years apart, I am also comforted and I hope and pray that all my friends and family find the same comfort. All you have to do is believe.

  1. Beautiful words and so true you will see her one day! Where your memories caused pain at one time your memories cause happiness and joy. That’s the peace Jesus Christ has given you.

  2. Beautiful.
The star named for Mary is recorded forever in the book “Your Place in the Cosmos” Volume 6 which was published and copyrighted in 2002 and shines over you from the constellation Lynx. ? Her star will always shine ?

    • Thank you so much for your kind reply. I came across the papers the other day and the memory was bittersweet. I waited a few days until the 2 year anniversary of her passing before posting the story.
