Becoming a Christian is exciting and a new beginning.
There are folks that attend church every time the doors are open. There are also folks that never attend church but profess faith. So, which is it? Could it be possible that a person who never goes to church be the most faithful? The first thing to understand is: “The Church” is not a building. Sitting in church no more makes you possess faith than sitting in a cockpit makes you a pilot. However, it can be remarkably faster to acquire faith than a pilot’s license.
But, like any addiction, you must first admit you are a sinner just like the rest of us. We are all sinners. People with faith are no better than anyone else, but we have asked for forgiveness and received it. We didn’t ask our parents, a judge, jury, or the government. We asked God. At its foundation, it’s as simple as that.
The road begins here: Romans 10:13 Romans 6:23
Can you toss out a request to God like a message in a bottle and move on with your life exactly as before? I don’t think anyone reading this is ignorant. When you receive and accept faith you become a changed person and it will be obvious to others.
My Old Excuses For Not Attending Church (Part 4) – The Daily Sinner
Nowhere does the Bible say you must attend a church building to have faith however, It talks about gathering together in His name many times. We draw strength from each other and there is strength in numbers. The Church does many good things in our communities as well as around the world that as an individual, I could not.
A group of born-again, saved Christians is something far above a simple gathering of like-minded people. That collective body of believers, not the buildings they meet in, is God’s holy temple on earth.
So, faith does indeed have a face and it’s pretty easy to spot. You have to make it possible for men to believe in God because they see God in you.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 says: “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” 17 ‘If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy.
Love this – spot on. ??
I have seen that before Deidra several times from others and I know they didn’t seem placed in the right spot. It’s fine. Just thank you for reading and taking time to comment!!
I didn’t use question marks. It was thumbs up but posted as “??”. Please delete? I’ll comment again without using emoticons. I don’t want anyone to think I questioned what you wrote. You’re exactly right.
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy. Amen ?
There have been times in my life that God has shown me things I
never thought could be possible & it came true & if I told people
about it they thought I was off my rocker & laughed at me, till they
got the message from Jesus telling or showing them that BOTH
Are REAL & ALIVE & WATCHING.
Isn’t it strange that people can readily believe in aliens and the devil, but struggle with believing in God? Thanks for your comments!
So you are saying there is really no difference between the saved and the unsaved in terms of their behavior? Error.
I have no idea how you came to that conclusion? But if you are saying you are saved and never sin then you are in error.
